Does anyone else have painfully slow sales pages. My pages take around 2 seconds to load (with most of that time being Podia's server rendering the page). When I analyze the network request 1.8 seconds is time Podia spends to generate my sales page and the other .2 seconds is the time it takes to download the content.
2 seconds isn't a massive number, but when it comes to converting sales 2 seconds is far longer than I would ever want on a basic sales page that is pretty much entirely static content. Ideally this number should be under 1 second for the best conversion metrics. Also, if a customer is viewing my site from a location further form Podia's servers or with a slower internet connection there load times could easily push into the 5 second mark which is not something you want.
I am curious if other people are having this issue, if anyone knows how to reduce this load time, and if Podia is planning to do anything to fix this problem such as implement heavier caching, a global CDN, etc.
PS: In case anyone is wondering this load time does not take into account things such as images or scripts loading on the page. I only calculated the time it takes to download the raw HTML of the page. If I include all those other things the time expands to around 2.5 seconds and that is with all my images being incredibly well optimized (my largest image is 134KB with most of my images being under 10KB).
