I’m having a small problem with access to a course. I do not want to sell this course, but instead, only make it available with a membership. In attempting to do this, I have come across a few problems.
Under Products / Course / Edit / Pricing, I have made the course “Free,” which is the only option available if I do not want to sell the course. I would prefer to have another option such as “Membership.”
Under Products / Course / Edit / Availability, I have made the course “Hidden” so that it will not be seen. If I made it visible, anyone could get the product as it is listed as “Free.” I also made the course “Closed.” If I marked it as “Open,” again, it could be accessed for free.
At this point, the only way anyone can get this course is if they sign up for the membership. The problem here is that under products included, it does not include the course, again I assume because it is closed.
On the course product page I have a link to the membership plan for those who want this product. However, when you scroll down the page, an abbreviated header appears at the top, it identifies the course as “Enrollment is closed.” I assume this is due to the fact that I have the course listed as “Closed,” but this creates confusion for the visitor.
I believe I have heard that there is supposed to be a feature update where we can attach memberships to products instead of the community plans. If this is the case, will my issues above be addressed? And when is this feature expected to become available? Thank you.
