"Email Us" button makes people use gmail only

I probably set it up wrong. Let's assume that. I'm learning as I go.

On my contact page I have an email us button that - when my tester (husband) tried to email me - he was forced to use gmail to message me (he's more of a Yahoo guy, what can I say?)

I really want this to be a very easy process for people to email me from my website. Is there a better way to set up the button? Thank you so much! 🙂
