Podia website design inspiration (4 examples!) 😍

Tue, Jul 23

Recently, we talked about how to add 3D product images to your Podia website. (If you missed it, here’s the ~2 min video tutorial.)

And there are even more ways you can customize your site using backgrounds and images.

Michelle Dale (Michelle from Virtual Miss Friday 👩🏻‍💻 ) uses a combination of full-color and black-and-white backgrounds throughout her Podia website to layer her images and give each page a unique look.

To create this layered effect:

  • Add an image section and choose your image

  • Switch to the design tab and add a background image to your section

  • Adjust the transparency, grayscale, and contrast to make your background as subtle or vibrant as you like

You can also use 2-color backgrounds to create visual divisions within each section.

Em Connors from The Creative Bodega does this with bold colors and a horizontal wave shape, and Dani Bruflodt from Thyme is Honey uses the same technique to make a vertical two-color background.

All you need to do is head to Canva, create a page background with the design you like, and then upload the image as the background of your section

And you can even create custom blog post featured images with your fonts and colors like Krystal Clark from Organize your Empire. All her blog posts have matching cover graphics, which makes Krystal’s blog page looks cohesive with the rest of her website and banding.

You can take these ideas for a spin in the Podia website builder right now. And if you have any designs you’d like to share, make sure to drop them in the "I made this" channel!
