I’m so excited for the community events update coming out next month but I’m curious how people are handling monthly calls for your community in the meantime?

Are you just making posts with a zoom link? I want to start hosting events especially with the update coming out but I’m not sure what to do as we wait.

Before this change, every new comment, reaction, and post triggered its own email. Now you can choose to receive a summary once an hour or once a day instead, so you can catch up on community activity on your preferred schedule.

To set this up, go to your profile photo in the bottom left corner, click "Account, and select "Notifications." Under "Activity," you'll find the new Email notification schedule options. You can choose to be notified instantly, on an hourly schedule, on a daily schedule, or not at all.

Your members have access to these same settings, so everyone in your community can pick the notification frequency that works best for them. This means more control for you, more flexibility for everyone as your community grows.

Will this feature still be possible so i have complete control over who enters the community? I don't want everyone who's gotten a product or freebie or nothing at all from me to have access.

This is a pretty exciting moment for me. We’re officially moving the Podia community back onto Podia 🎉

A little backstory: about two years ago, we set up this community because Podia’s community features just weren’t quite there yet. They weren’t as deep, flexible, or fully built out as we wanted. That’s changed in a big way.

With the latest version of Podia, we now have everything we need to host a great community right inside the product, and it genuinely feels like the right time to bring everything home.

What this means for you:

Not a ton will change in your day-to-day experience. The goal is to keep things feeling familiar, just with more functionality behind the scenes.

• You’ll be asked to log in and set a password for the new Podia community

• We’ll email you instructions before the switch

• Wednesday, May 6 is the day we’ll officially move everything over

On that day:

• This community will be closed

• Visiting community.podia.com (the URL you’re on now) will redirect you to the new Podia-hosted community

What’s staying the same:

We’re keeping all the core Spaces you’re used to, including:

• Announcements

• Marketing discussions

• I made this

• Introduce yourself

• Podia questions

So you’ll still be able to ask questions, share what you’re working on, and connect with other creators just like you do today.

What’s getting better:

• Direct messaging and chat will be built right in

• We’ll be adding Podia products directly into the community (courses, downloads, etc.)

• Soon, all of our events and webinars will be hosted there too

Overall, it should feel like a more powerful, more connected version of what we have today.

I really enjoy designing with Podia!

I’d like to suggest a small improvement to the layout settings that would make a big difference.

It would be very helpful to control the gap independently on each side: top, bottom, left, and right.

Right now, the gap below an image on mobile can feel too large. If I reduce it, the spacing under the image looks better, but the rest of the text then gets too close to the edges, which doesn’t look very aesthetic, especially when adding a button.

Being able to adjust each side independently would make mobile layouts much easier to refine.

Is there a way to run such a beta test? It would require my friends to register and login so they can “purchase” courses etc. But at the same time I don’t want others to do that…

Can I create a hidden page in my website builder and put a link for login there so that only those with the link can find it? That would probably be the easiest way.

While this as such does work, I see that every post that's fixed to the top automatically collapses, so nothing but the title appears. I find that a little strange an unlogical: if I post something and want to make it stick to the top, then because it should be seen by everybody.

Can that behaviour be changed?
